Yilwatda Presents Tinubu, APC Candidates to Ekiti Voters, Seeks Overwhelming Support in 2027

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, has urged voters in Ekiti State to give President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all APC candidates overwhelming support in the 2027 general elections.
Yilwatda made the call on Thursday at the APC presidential campaign rally in Ado-Ekiti, where he joined Vice President Kashim Shettima, members of the party's National Working Committee, governors and other party stakeholders to present the party's candidates.
He said the large turnout at the rally showed the people's confidence in the APC and support for the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Presenting the candidates, from President Tinubu to those contesting National Assembly and Ekiti State House of Assembly seats, Yilwatda said the President's performance and reform initiatives had earned him another term.
He described Tinubu as both a performer and a reformer, noting that the administration had embarked on far-reaching reforms to reposition the economy, strengthen public institutions and create opportunities for citizens and businesses.
On tax reforms, Yilwatda said the new framework was designed to protect low-income earners and small businesses from unnecessary tax burdens, while allowing them to retain more resources for personal and business development. He said the reforms reflected the President's commitment to a fairer tax system.
He also cited the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) as a major intervention to expand access to higher education. He said eligible beneficiaries also receive a monthly upkeep allowance of ₦20,000.
On infrastructure, he pointed to road projects in Ekiti State, including major connections between Ado-Ekiti and Akure, as evidence of the Federal Government's commitment to improving transportation and economic activities.
Yilwatda urged voters to support the APC across all elective positions, saying candidates who would work in harmony with the President were needed to sustain ongoing reforms and accelerate national development.
He said a strong APC presence in the National Assembly and State House of Assembly would strengthen the party's capacity to advance its development agenda and deliver on its promises.
He reaffirmed the APC as Nigeria's dominant political party, and expressed confidence that it would consolidate its electoral strength in 2027.
He urged party members, supporters and stakeholders in Ekiti to remain united and mobilised for victory for all APC candidates, and expressed optimism that the Renewed Hope Agenda would continue to deliver progress for Nigerians.
