Prestige Assurance Approves 2022 unaudited first quarter results …Appoints Director & Company Secretary
Prestige Assurance Plc a subsidiary company of the New India Assurance Co. Ltd. (Mumbai,) India, said its board of directors has approved the unaudited financial statement of the company for the first quarter ended March 31, 2022.
The board of directors gave the approval at its meeting held on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, just as the appointment of Mrs Aderonke Adedeji as Non- executive director and Mrs Chidinma Ibe Louis as company secretary respectively.
Consequently, the closed period restricting all directors and insiders from dealing in the shares of the company remains in place until twenty-four (24) hours after the release of the 2022 first quarter unaudited financial statement to the market.
Mrs Adedeji who appointment as a Non-Executive Director is still subject to regulatory approval, is an accomplished professional with commercial and entrepreneurial acumen acquired over 34 years of well-rounded experience in Banking and Pensions.
Goal oriented with proven track record in launching start-ups, building organisations, and achieving corporate growth objectives with focus on creating value for all stakeholders. She is passionate about excellence. best practice, and good governance.
She has served as member of high corporate governance boards and board committees for over 17 years. She has set up several Financial Services subsidiaries for a Bank and implemented a transformational change in business model from a Merchant to Retail Bank. She was responsible for developing structures and processes around several new banking initiatives and has participated in negotiation for Merger and Acquisition transactions as well as a bank Integration.
Mrs Adedeji built from inception a Pension Fund Administration Industry leader with just under N600B in Pension Assets. She was a Former President of Pension Fund Operators Associations of Nigeria and former Head of Ethics committee of the Association.
The new company secretary, Mrs Chidinmalbe-Louis, holds a Bachelor of Law Degree and a Master’s Degree in Law both from the Lagos State University, Lagos, Nigeria. She is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria and a member of the Nigerian Bar Association. She is a Chartered Secretary, an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators of Nigeria.
She is also an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria. Prior to joining the Company, she spent some years working with some reputable Law firms in Nigeria, where she garnered her invaluable knowledge in litigation, corporate and commercial law, as well as legal drafting experience.
An adept Legal professional with over 17 years’ post-graduation experience in corporate governance and company secretarial practice across industries, 8 years of it has been in the Insurance Industry.
Her formal working career encompasses a comprehensive background and extensive experience in corporate and commercial law practice, company and human secretariat, corporate governance, compliance, legal services, resources. She manages the legal affairs of the Company and provides strategic legal advice on legal, human resources and compliance matters.
