NGX Suspends Trading In Sterling Financial Holdings Shares For Reconstruction

The Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) has suspended trading in the shares of Sterling Financial Holdings Company Plc effective Wednesday, 23 September 2026.
The suspension was announced in a Market Bulletin titled NGXREG/IRD/MB106/26/9/23 signed by Bonaventure Onwuji, for the Head, Issuer Regulation Department.
According to the Exchange, the full suspension was necessary to prevent trading in the shares of the Company to enable its Registrars and the Central Securities and Clearing System Plc (CSCS) to reconcile their books for the listing of the reconstructed shares on the NGX.
The NGX added that the suspension is also required for the purpose of determining the shareholders who are entitled to receive the reconstructed shares.
