The All-Share Index eked out a 1 basis point gain to close at 247,707.13 points on Thursday as MTNN and ARADEL threw punches from opposite corners.

MTNN shed 2.84 per cent to N820.00, surrendering almost everything it had clawed back since last Thursday's fall, while ARADEL roared back with a 7.14 per cent jump to N1,499.90, reclaiming most of the ground lost in that day's limit-down rout.

ARADEL's rally swallowed the bulk of MTNN's drag, while FIRSTHOLDCO supplied the next biggest lift, adding 0.84 per cent to N138.00 for its first gain since last Thursday. On the flip side, NASCON was the heaviest drag after MTNN, sliding 9.48 per cent to N171.00.

The banking sector was split down the middle. ETI extended Tuesday's rally with another 1.28 per cent gain to N71.40, while FIDELITYBK snapped a five-session losing streak, adding 0.50 per cent to N20.10. On the losing side, ABBEYBANK sank 5.00 per cent to N6.65, while GTCO handed back Wednesday's gains to close at N127.70, matching ZENITHBANK after its own 0.08 per cent slip.

Among consumer names, DANGSUGAR extended its losing streak to four sessions, shedding 1.25 per cent to N67.15, while INTBREW came roaring back with a 4.74 per cent jump to N9.95, more than reversing Monday's decline.

Further down the board, the limit-up party continued. LIVESTOCK hit the ceiling for another session, surging 9.73 per cent to N18.60 and extending a rally that has now more than doubled its share price month-to-date. AUSTINLAZ notched a second consecutive limit-up, climbing 9.92 per cent to N2.66, while CWG joined the charge with a 9.86 per cent leap to N20.05. ENAMELWA went limit-down, tumbling 9.95 per cent to N36.65 in its first price move of the month.

Turnover was mixed, with volume down 8.67 per cent but value up 7.47 per cent, as activity leaned on ARADEL and the big banks. ZENITHBANK, whose trades had all flowed through local desks on Wednesday, reappeared on foreign screens alongside GTCO.
