Lagos NIPR Holds 5km Roadshow To Promote World Public Relations Forum 2026

The Lagos State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, NIPR, has organised a roadshow to raise awareness for the World Public Relations Forum 2026 scheduled to hold in Abuja from November 15 to 21, 2026.
Members of the Institute turned out in large numbers for the campaign, which covered more than five kilometres across Lagos. The exercise was part of a nationwide mobilisation held simultaneously by NIPR chapters across the 36 states.
Speaking during the roadshow, Chairman of the Lagos State Chapter, Dr. Samuel Ayetutu, described the forthcoming forum as one of the largest gatherings of public relations and communication professionals in the world.
He said the forum will bring together leading practitioners, policymakers, academics, business executives, media professionals and other stakeholders to discuss the evolving role of responsible communication in addressing global challenges.
With the theme, “Responsible Communication: The Voice of the World,” the forum is expected to drive conversations on strategic, ethical and responsible communication as an antidote to miscommunication, misinformation, disinformation and propaganda, which fuel conflicts, deepen divisions and undermine public trust.
Dr. Ayetutu said hosting the global forum offers Nigeria an opportunity to demonstrate leadership in public relations and strategic communication, showcase its rich cultural heritage, creativity and hospitality, and reshape its reputation before an international audience.
“The World Public Relations Forum will enable Nigeria to tell its own story, highlight its enormous potential and deepen meaningful engagement between local professionals and their counterparts from around the world,” he said.
He added that the forum will facilitate knowledge exchange, professional networking, international collaboration and expose Nigerian practitioners and young professionals to global best practices, emerging technologies and innovative approaches to reputation management.
Beyond professional value, the forum is also expected to boost Nigeria’s tourism and hospitality sectors, attract international visitors and investment interest, and strengthen Abuja’s position as a destination for major global conferences.
The Lagos Chapter called on PR practitioners, communication professionals, government institutions, private-sector organisations, academics and students to participate actively in the forum.
