DataPro will host a two-day virtual training on Effective Transaction Monitoring System: Implementation Guardrails, to help financial institutions prepare for compliance with the Central Bank of Nigeria's (CBN) Baseline Standards for Automated Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Solutions.

The CBN issued the standards on March 10, 2026. Deposit Money Banks are required to achieve full compliance by September 2027, while Other Financial Institutions have until March 2028.

The training, scheduled for Tuesday, November 24 to Wednesday, November 25, 2026, will hold virtually via Zoom from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. daily. The fee is ₦100,000 per participant, VAT exclusive, with group booking discounts available.

According to DataPro, the intensive, syndicate-driven session is designed to help compliance and technical teams assess existing capabilities, address critical compliance gaps, and ensure their Transaction Monitoring Systems (TMS) are properly designed, integrated, and aligned with their risk exposure.

Participants will be trained to apply a risk-based approach to transaction monitoring and customer risk profiling, and to strengthen financial crime risk management and regulatory compliance.

The course will cover the regulatory framework and CBN requirements for TMS, the strategic value and benefits of effective implementation, risk-based monitoring and risk profiling, implementation methodology, monitoring rules and detection techniques, as well as review, testing and assurance of TMS.

It will also examine emerging technologies and evolving trends shaping the future of transaction monitoring.

DataPro said the window for institutions to align their systems with the CBN standards is narrowing, making early preparation essential.
