Citi Marks Global Community Day with Financial Literacy Initiative Benefiting Over 100 Students
Citi recently marked its annual Global Community Day by delivering financial literacy training to over 100 students, in collaboration with Junior Achievement Nigeria (JAN), a longstanding partner, reinforcing its commitment to enabling economic growth and advancing priority United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Global Community Day is Citi’s longstanding tradition of mobilizing colleagues, alumni, family and friends to contribute time, skills and expertise in support of the communities it serves.
The initiative reflects Citi’s global approach to volunteerism as a key enabler of inclusive growth and local impact. As part of this year’s activities in Lagos, Citi volunteers, working alongside Junior Achievement Nigeria, delivered structured financial literacy sessions focused on budgeting, saving, and responsible financial decision-making.
The collaboration leverages JAN’s proven expertise in youth economic education and entrepreneurship, ensuring the delivery of practical, high-impact learning outcomes.
